Job description
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting the smooth running of our busy hospital. You will be responsible for carrying out nurse-led consultations and appointments, as well as assisting our veterinary surgeons with procedures and treatments as required. We are passionate about providing exceptional care to our patients, clients and colleagues. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of clinical care, professionalism and regulatory compliance, while contributing to a positive, supportive and collaborative working environment. You will be joining a friendly and established clinical team of 10 nurses and veterinary care team members, led by our Head Veterinary Nurse, alongside 7 Veterinary Surgeons and a fantastic team of 6 Receptionists. We work on a structured rota, alternating between a week of early shifts and a week of late shifts. Each day also has dedicated ward and theatre nursing duties, giving you the opportunity to work across different areas of the hospital and develop a broad range of clinical skills. We are fortunate to have a large, well-equipped hospital with excellent facilities, allowing us to provide a wide range of veterinary services and high standards of patient care. Our facilities include: A dedicated dental suite, complete with dental X-ray equipment. A separate imaging room with ultrasound and X-ray facilities. A fully equipped theatre and preparation area. Dedicated dog and cat wards, with a separate isolation area. A large, well-equipped in-house laboratory. You'll have the opportunity to work in a varied clinical environment, make full use of our facilities and be part of a team that genuinely values good nursing care. This is a great opportunity to become part of a welcoming and supportive team, working in a well-equipped hospital where no two days are quite the same. Whether you enjoy nurse-led consultations, inpatient care, anaesthesia, theatre work or developing your clinical skills, there will be plenty of opportunity to get involved and make a real difference to our patients and their owners. Most importantly, you'll be joining a team that enjoys working together and takes pride in delivering the very best care. Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that’s why we offer
