The Practice This established group of modern small animal practices has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality veterinary care throughout Ayrshire. With three well-equipped surgeries working closely together, the team provides excellent continuity of care while creating a collaborative working environment where colleagues are supported to develop and progress. You’ll become part of a dedicated team of around 60 colleagues, including 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, experienced Clinical Nurse Managers, Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeons and Clinical Coach RVNs. The practices are led by an experienced leadership team that includes both Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses, ensuring nursing development remains a genuine priority. The nursing team is actively encouraged to utilise Schedule 3 responsibilities and includes colleagues with advanced interests in acupuncture, pain management, behaviour and surgical nursing. Collaboration across all three sites allows nurses to learn from one another while benefiting from excellent clinical support. The Role This flexible position is available on either a full or part-time basis, with working patterns tailored around the successful candidate wherever possible. Weekend commitments are limited to a shared 1 in 4 Saturday rota, with no out-of-hours responsibilities. You’ll enjoy a varied nursing role covering theatre, anaesthesia, inpatient care, nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. The practices actively encourage Registered Veterinary Nurses to maximise their clinical skills and support ongoing development through generous CPD and mentorship. Whether you’re newly qualified or already experienced, you’ll receive excellent support from senior nurses, Clinical Nurse Managers and Clinical Coaches, helping you continue to build confidence and progress your career.
