Registered Veterinary Nurse | Fareham, Hampshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, forward-thinking small animal practice in the Fareham area. The Practice This well-established small animal practice is committed to providing outstanding clinical care in a friendly and supportive environment. The team prides itself on delivering high standards of patient care while ensuring every colleague feels valued, supported and encouraged to develop professionally. The practice sees a varied first opinion caseload, including advanced medical cases such as cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, providing excellent opportunities for nurses to broaden their clinical experience. Continuous investment in modern equipment and facilities enables the team to provide an excellent standard of care while maintaining an enjoyable and rewarding working environment. Registered Veterinary Nurses are actively encouraged to fully utilise their skills across all areas of the practice, including theatre, inpatient care, nurse consultations, diagnostic imaging, dental procedures and Schedule 3 nursing responsibilities. Facilities include: • Digital radiography. • Digital dental radiography. • High-specification ultrasound. • Endoscopy. • In-house IDEXX laboratory. • ECG. • K-Laser therapy. • Tonopen. • Blood pressure monitoring. • Multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring. • Capnography. • Infusion pumps and syringe drivers. • Bair Hugger patient warming system. • Fully equipped operating theatre. • Dedicated dog, cat and isolation wards. • New Intensive Care Unit currently being developed. The Location Located in the Fareham area of Hampshire, the practice benefits from excellent transport links across the South Coast, with easy access to Portsmouth, Southampton and the surrounding countryside. The area offers an excellent combination of coastal living, shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities, making it a fantastic place to both live and work. The Role This full-time position involves working 40 hours per week with participation in a shared 1 in 4 Saturday rota. Part-time applications will also be considered for the right candidate. You’ll enjoy a varied nursing role, assisting with theatre procedures, anaesthesia, radiography, inpatient care, nurse consultations, dental procedures and general nursing duties. The practice actively supports Registered Veterinary Nurses in making full use of their skills and encourages further development through CPD and additional qualifications. For nurses interested in mentoring the next generation, Clinical Coach training is encouraged and fully supported. The Candidate The successful candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and providing excellent client service. You’ll be a friendly, approachable team player who enjoys working within a busy and supportive practice. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high clinical standards are essential. Previous experience as a Clinical Coach would be welcomed, although full support will be provided for those wishing to undertake the qualification.
